Project Engineer

Position Overview
The Project Engineer supports the successful execution of projects in line with scope, schedule, budget, and resource objectives. The role is responsible for monitoring project progress, preparing reports, supporting risk management activities, and ensuring effective coordination among relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers in planning project scope, schedules, and budgets
- Monitor project activities and track project execution progress
- Take an active role in cost, resource, and schedule management processes
- Identify project risks, deviations, and improvement opportunities, and contribute to corrective action plans
- Prepare project progress reports and share updates with relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate communication between subcontractors, technical teams, and project stakeholders
- Utilize project management tools such as MS Project and Jira for tracking and reporting activities
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide proactive solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred)
- Master’s or PhD degree is preferred
- Knowledge of project management and R&D processes
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of PMI project management methodologies (scope, schedule, cost, and resource management)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms is preferred
- Good command of English
- Strong analytical thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and demanding work environment
- No restrictions on travel
- Currently residing in Istanbul or willing to relocate
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in defense, aerospace, or high-technology projects
- Experience in R&D project management
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
